I used to have a chronic problem with breaking phones, but thanks to my Otterbox, that hasn't seem to be an issue.
I'll admit, it does double the size of the phone, but I don't feel that is something to complain about. If you want the protection you have to give up the idea of a quarter inch thick phone.
I love the rubber grip, because it keeps my phone snug in my pocket and I've never had an issue with it falling out, which used to be a pretty big problem I've had with other cases. This also prevents it from flying around the car when I turn if I have it sitting on the console.
I have dropped my phone several times, and so far the case has done its job, and no obvious damage has been done to the phone itself. The case itself has held up to the damage as well.
I did think that the cover over the charging port was pushing out my charger, but I had been using my old one from my other phone and turns out the charger was just wore out and couldn't hold itself in.
It keeps dust out really well, and does a decent job at general splash protection as well.
Next time I get a phone, I will definitely be getting another Otterbox.
I love this case. It is exactly what I wanted to protect my phone. Price is a little high but I think it is worth it.

My wife has this case and she loves it! She is very clumsy and drops her phone a lot....Her phone still looks like new even after everything she puts it thru! We definitely recommend this case! Wish Amazon would have been selling these when we bought ours though...we paid full price from Otterbox! Oh well...still would buy it again!
BalasHapusit was fairly simple to put together, although i do wish they would send better directions with it. It's a three part case. I am very hard on my phones and it has saved it so far. would recommend it to anyone.
BalasHapusI purchased this Otterbox as a gift for a family member. It was a little more expensive than the Otterboxes for the I-phones and the other Droid cases but it works perfect!!!! I highly recommend this Otterbox!

BalasHapusI just got this product today so cannot really comment on its true durability or ruggedness but I can say that my fancy new smart phone "feels" much more secure in nestled in this case. I'm not a professional mechanic but in my down time I enjoy working on cars or welding, so keeping my phone from drops and bumps is only half the battle. The other half is keeping dirt, sand, grease and grit off and out of my phone. This case will definitely help with that as it has port plugs to keep all the various input ports covered securely.
Obviously this case will bulk up your phone, so starting out with a Droid RazrM it makes it about the size of an older gen smart phone (I'm guessing as this is my first smart phone). I dont mind trading my phone's slender dimensions for added security, but I could see this possibly being an issue with a larger phone. The best part of the case itself is that although it's outer shell is rubberized, its no where near as "sticky" as my original silicone slip case. I can easily slip this in and out of a shirt or pants pocket without having to hold it open to let the phone drop in (or stuffing my pocket back in my pants because the phone pulled it out!).
This is not a "waterproof" case!! I knew this going into it but it seems like some buyers were under the impression that it was somehow waterproof. All of your speaker and mic holes are still exposed, so water WILL get in your phone. I suggest you get a "ruggedized" phone if you're looking for water resistance. As far as the included screen protector, I'm not sure what one reviewer was talking about "cut-to-fit", as it fit perfectly for my phone since these are purpose-built items.
The clip holster is a great feature, although it adds considerable bulk to the overall phone when its all together. I plan on using it when I go for bike or motorcycle rides or hiking, as it seems very secure and protects the face of the phone. I do not, however, think the clip itself will hold up as long as the case(s) as it is a little loose out of the package and has a plastic hinge pin instead of a metal one (I'm predicting the pin will break before the hinge assembly). A two-way belt loop option would have been nice, but I'm not sure if that's feasible.
Typing with the phone "up and down" (not sideways) is a bit tricky since the screen is set back about 3/16" from the edge of the case, making the letters on the sides of the screen a bit hard to peck with chubby fingers. Not impossible though.
Overall I'm very glad I purchased this accessory for my phone and would recommend it for someone looking for some added protection over a standard silicone or plastic case. I would have liked to see it come in olive like the iPhone Otterbox is, but not a reason to keep me from getting it
