The Wilson DT Booster works better than I expected.

I'm 12+ miles from tower, gently rolling wooded hills of SE Missouri. There is a large fully leafed walnut tree directly between my 2nd floor outside mount antenna and cell tower, and a steady rain was falling during the first evening of tests. The normal signal for my Verizon Palm Pixi is 1x-intermittent 1 to 2 bars, and intermittent 3G- mostly 0 to 1 bar. Rarely was I able to get greater than 100K.

With the booster, I had to adjust the outside antenna a little to get best signal. Green light stays on all the time, very rarely blinked orange. Now I get 5 bars 1x and mostly 5 bars 3G!!! Speed test at [...] ranged from 200K to 460K, I'm really happy with that. (Using Palm Mobile 3G hotspot.) Pages load fast. During the same test time,(peak evening hours), my 1 Meg Wild Blue connection was testing about 350 to 450K. I'll try some more tests later during clear weather, but I expect even better performance then.

I noticed from previous reviews to follow antenna placement instructions for best performance, that is very important. And you'll have to keep your cell phone well within the 15 foot inside range, unless you want to fork over another $110+ for a more powerful inside panel antenna upgrade.

The 30 day satisfaction guarantee was a good incentive to give it a try.

Other reviewers are correct, the light plastic housing is disappointing. I'll have to build a protective housing for the outside antenna.

The cable connection on back of the indoor amplifier gets quite hot, or maybe the circuit board itself gets hot. I don't like that, I may have to find a fan to help move the heat away.

For $231, it is a reasonable deal, and it does perform very well. I'll have to give it 5 stars. If a more substantial unit is desired, then Wilson products pricing and performance is commensurate.

Shipping.... not really part of a product review, but Amazon next day shipping had the product delivered to me in 26 hours, impressive.
