I have had a new Samsung Galaxy S3 for about a month without incident, but have been needing a case since purchase. I've handled a few other cases, but decided I wanted to try out a thinner and slimmer case for protection. I'm glad to say that this was EXACTLY what I wanted!
The case snaps onto the back of the phone fairly simply and firmly. Front protection afforded by the case is minimal, although it does provide a little raised lip so that setting the phone down on the face is now at least held off the table. I have no intention of dropping my phone to find out what happens, but it appears that any impact on the sides, back, or even corners will have more protection. I also think the little holes add a nice texture to the phone that simulates a softer material, and have been much more confident in holding the phone and using it while in motion. I may have to wait until a really bad drop to know how well this ultimately works for protection, but I can wait.
I would highly recommend this case to anyone with a Samsung Galaxy S3. At the cost you are not out much if you decide you need a different model, and I think it's one of the better cases out so far!

BalasHapusThe quality is good and I especially liked the design with the holes, not only does the design standout, but since the Samsung GS3 is known to get hot, the openings provide sort of a ventilation to the phone.
It has a minimalist design and therefore doesn't add too much bulk to the phone. And the case fits perfectly. Please note the top and bottom of the phone is not fully protected.

Just bought this one for my S3 and its perfect. Initially I used Samsung's flip cover for a while but ended up returning it due to very unpractical design. This cover quality is good and feel very sturdy. Also Jean Indigo color goes very well with S3's pebble blue color.
BalasHapusI guess when it comes to Android phone cases I'm more of a form over function kind of user. While I want a case to protect the phone from every day usage and the occasional "oops, dropped my phone on my carpeted floor", I generally shy away from the "Armageddon is upon us" all out protection of Otter Box's and Seidio Active's and gravitate towards the thin cases. Every last one of my Androids (6 in total) have or had thin cases and I never had a problem with my phones breaking or screens cracking, as I am very carefully and don't beat my phones to death.
BalasHapusThe Galaxy SIII is such a beautiful and ergonomic phone, I couldn't stomach the idea of throwing a gigantic, thick, multi-piece case on the phone. The ONLY gripe I had with the SGIII, was that it felt a little TOO plasticy and TOO light. Well, when I put the Elago case on the phone I was quite pleased with everything the case had to offer. The minimal use of pin-holed plastic ensures that the beauty of the phone is retained while offering some much needed protection, all the while aiding in adding just a little heft to the feel of the phone. My phone no longer feels dainty and uber plasticy. It now feels perfect, for me. On a side note, the case on the phone looks EXACTLY like the pictures here on Amazon. That is a great thing...no surprises...
I ordered the case using standard shipping and received it a mere 5 days after ordering. I was surprised by about that.
PROS and CONS
PROS
+Fits the phone like a glove. All of the cutouts are PERFECTLY aligned. The case actually looks like Samsung made it.
+Adds just the right amount of weight to the phone without the added bulk.
+Pin holes throughout the case. I would THINK they aid in keeping the internal heat down, as the case is allowed to "breathe".
+The case is just about the exact same color as the SGIII, so much so an observer might not even realize there is a case on it
+The price is perfect. A case of equal looks and feel would be closer to $20+ in a brick and mortar store
CONS
-The only Con I could find is that for some, the phone w/ case might be a bit too slippery. No much more than the phone without the case, but nonetheless equally as slippery
If you are looking for a really well made case, while retaining the beautiful sleek look of the SGIII, you can't go wrong with this case.
Great price and just looks absolutely cool on the phone. I have the white S3 and it looks like its part of the phone. I didn't want a bulky case to take away from the phone's form factor, just something to protect it from minor bumps and scrapes. Don't know how good it will hold up if it takes a drop to the floor ( and hoping not to find out!), so if you're looking for otterbox-like protection, this is not the one for you.

All in all, I'm a happy camper.
I almost never put a case on my phones, but I made an exception for my precious S3 because of the nice products this company is cranking out. The case is slim, sturdy, and has the right amount of grip. It clicks effortlessly onto the phone, and from the front it is barely noticeable.
BalasHapusI still haven't tried dropping the phone, but I suspect this case would not protect the phone as well as bulkier cases. If you look closely at the pictures, you can notice the top and bottom edges of the phone are left totally exposed.
If you want a slim, stylish case and are willing to sacrifice some protection, get this one!
Not sure where they get the soft feeling description from; it's hard and somewhat slick. It's a nice cover for the price, back and side protection only. Doesn't add much bulk to the phone and allows it to ventilate when the phone gets warm after heavy usage. No complaints, especially for the great price.
